Jamie has been working with dogs and their people, and innovating within the pet industry, for 24 years. Having successfully built four national pet service companies, Jamie is an expert across all aspects of the pet industry, including education, technology, business development, sales, marketing, and management.
In 2017, Jamie was accepted into the venture capital-backed Prosper Women Entrepreneurs accelerator program in St. Louis, was named as a Pet Age ICON Award Recipient, and received the Women Tech Founders Midwest Women in Tech award in the Lifestyle category. FetchFind also completed a successful crowdfunding campaign on Republic. In 2016, she was accepted into the prestigious WiSTEM accelerator program at 1871 Chicago and named by Tech.co as one of the top 10 founders over 40 in Chicago. In October 2016, FetchFind was selected by the Purina Pet Care Innovation Prize as one of the top five most innovative pet care companies in the U.S.
Aaron is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Caerus Investment Partners. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago and over ten years’ experience in tech start-up, strategy and turnaround, and restructuring consulting to Fortune 500 and middle market companies. Aaron is a recipient of the Turnaround Management Association’s Turnaround of the Year award and M&A Advisor’s Top 40 Under 40. Pet family: still looking.
Erin is a graduate of Hofstra University and a professional dog trainer dedicated to positive reinforcement behavior modification techniques. She practiced her craft in Chicago for many years before moving to Colorado and founding Touch Dog Training. Erin loves working in the pet industry, not only because she gets to work with animals, but she truly believes it is an innovative and talented industry filled with people who want to make a difference. Lynda is a New Mexico-born, Chicago-raised graduate of The Evergreen State College with extensive experience and education in all things dog. She’s had animals her entire life and has worked in grooming, walking, sitting, daycare, retail, and management sectors. Pet family: foster-failure cat Rikku, a sweet, shy Doberman/Lab mix named Surf, and Ryan, an Akita/Shepherd mix who challenged Lynda to work on her fear aggressive behavior.
Melissa was a competitive swimmer growing up and competed for first chair violin, always driven by a challenge. She is a graduate of Elmhurst College, and had a long career in business development, sales, and marketing before joining the FetchFind team. She works in the pet industry because she wants to be surrounded by pet loving people. Pet family: several saltwater fish, and a sweet, snuggly, lovable lap dog Australian Cattle mix named Jester.
A graduate of The University of Chicago, Melanie worked in academia and finance for many years before beginning her career in the companion animal community. She believes that a good education fosters understanding and compassion, and the more we understand about animals as they are, the less likely we are to contribute to the suffering of sentient beings. Pet family: a flock of companion parrots and her extremely popular Chi-Puggle mix Hattie.
Amanda is a graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, who has been fortunate enough to turn her love of dogs and connecting with people into a full-time gig. With her previous experience in sales and as a former supervisor for a Chicago veterinary clinic, Amanda is excited to continue her career in the pet industry. Pet family: an adorable black lab/min pin mix named Zoidberg, who believes he is much bigger than his actual 38 lbs.
Andrea is an LSU graduate and former professional chef who now works as marketing manager for a Chicago recreational cooking school. She began her work in the pet industry as Director of Marketing and Operations at AnimalSense, and now manages projects for FetchFind. She shares her love of food and dogs with the world from sunny Florida. Pet family: a terrier mix named Bosworth, who loves to paddleboard and who has his own boogie board.
In addition to being one of the nation's top pet first aid/CPR and safety experts, Arden is an in-demand professional speaker, cat and dog behavior advisor, media and pet product consultant, and best-selling author of 24 books. She is also the founder of Pet First Aid 4 U and the host of the award-winning podcast Oh Behave! on Pet Life Radio. Pet family (and co-stars): Pet Safety Cat Casey and Pet Safety Dog Kona.
Cara is the founder of Active Paws in Boston and manager of ProPetHero. She feels that by providing education to those who are responsible for handling pets, animals can get the correct and safe care they need. Cara has a BA from Boston University. In her spare time, she’s an agility addict and competes nationally with her dogs. Pet family: Boxers Debbie, Phoenix, and Walter, and Kit Cat, the acknowledged feline queen of the castle.
